BingJiu Week

#BingJiuWeek2020 is a week-long event to celebrate the torrid, obsessive love between The Original Luo Binghe and The Original Shen Qingqiu, Shen Jiu. Scheduled for October 11th to October 17th 2020.

Even as the sands of time shift in the winds of this world, a constant always requested is one of etiquette. These rules are set in stone, unchanging. Please give a read before joining this event!

A red string extends outward into the fabric of our universe, weaving together a tapestry of love and not!love and everything in between.

You are the weaver sitting at this loom. This cloth is dyed in the colors of seasons, evocative of all they bring. This is your story to tell, so choose wisely.

Unsure of how to proceed? Please consult our compendium of common inquiries or contact us directly!

Prompts

In honor of Original Luo Binghe and Original Shen Qingqiu, we invite you to contemplate the change of seasons, the nature of fate, and the cycles we find ourselves trapped within as a source of inspiration for works for this year’s Bingjiu Week 2020.

This year has brought about new challenges, and we wish to meet those challenges with a freer, more flexible structure.

We encourage participants to decide their own fate and connect the red string according to their will. Within the prompts are metaphors that evoke different feelings for each season.

Participants are welcome to take this blank slate and thread their red strings however they wish. Below are some examples of how fate twists and turns; destiny is in your hands.

Some may stay within the familiar confines of the season, some may stray from destiny and choose a prompt from another season, and others may yet choose to defy heaven’s will and loop their red string across the seasons. Any and all connections are accepted and encouraged!

However, if you so choose to draw your (red string) line between a prompt that is listed outside the seasonal grouping, we request that you incorporate elements of both in your work.

You may complete as few or as many entries as is comfortable for you. Your work will be accepted within the 20 day period between October 11th and October 31st, 2020.

Rules

As sure as new leaves sprout in Spring, all new creations inspired by your choices from your fated selection in “prompts” are welcome for this event.

This may include
any material, compilation, or additional continuation of an old work posted on the basis that they stem from your creative spirit.

Please be sure to credit relevant parties
if you tend to your creation with other individuals or are inspired by another. In addition, permission must first be obtained if you involve another party’s idea or work.

If creating erotic or disturbing work,
properly tag kinks, TWs, and limit viewership via privatter or other means. SFW previews for any of these works are encouraged.

Please tag your works
with the following so they will not be lost in the stream of time:
Twitter: #BingJiuWeek2020
AO3: Add to “BingJiu Week 2020 Collection”

10/31/2020 is the last day properly tagged entries will be harvested for collection. If we have missed any portion of your bounty, feel free to message us on Twitter.

No, this event is specifically for the celebration of the relationship between the original Shen Qingqiu and the Binghe raised by him.
